Meet Grace Muthami, PMHNP-BC

Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Board-certified nurse practitioner Grace Muthami, PMHNP-BC, provides holistic, patient-centered adult psychiatry services at Brightmind Wellness. From her offices in Harrisburg, Grace uses secure, convenient telehealth to care for people across Pennsylvania who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health conditions.

Grace specializes in attention and focus issues, including behavioral disorders like attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She uses an integrative approach, combining her expertise in evidence-based health care with many years of experience to better understand each patient’s individualities and unique needs. She sees how people’s repeated efforts to conceal emotional distress add to their burden and uses compassionate approaches to help them heal.

After completing her undergraduate nursing degree, Grace earned her Master’s in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She’s been in nursing for more than 17 years and gained experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Her expertise in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology ensures patients receive the most effective treatments, however severe their mental distress.

Grace works with adult patients of all ages. Her faith sustains her, reinforcing her belief that an individual’s psychological and spiritual well-being is vital to a fulfilling life. Grace understands that mental pain is more widespread and challenging than physical pain but that many people find it easier to say their tooth is aching than to admit their heart is broken.

Grace strives to restore patients’ hopes and dreams and help them achieve brighter minds,  healthier bodies, and more vibrant lives.
